SANTA MARIA DI LICODIA (CATANIA) - The Carabinieri of Santa Maria di Licodia caught a 37-year-old repeat offender and a 20-year-old found with about ten doses of cocaine. The first was arrested and the second reported for drug dealing and resisting a public official.
The officers noticed them inside a parked car while they were fiddling with a cigarette pack, hastily crumpled as soon as they realized they had been spotted.
After starting the car, they fled at speed, triggering a dangerous chase: the 37-year-old at the wheel, after crashing into the Carabinieri car, then hit some parked cars. The two accomplices continued their escape on foot. The Carabinieri, after sealing off the area, stopped the 37-year-old, while the 20-year-old managed to vanish.
